Baguio City: Burnham Park

After the super delicious breakfast, we are full charged and ready for a long walk.

We headed to Burnham Park for them to see it's beauty during day time. Because last night the Ukay-Ukay adventure is the only thing that left in their memory. And it's real beauty will be seen during daytime. Hmmm..anyway, back when I was in college, I admire the Burnham Park's beauty when all it's lights are turned on plus the cool climate.

Here's the Rizal Park.

I'm sad for the closer shot...
                                                             See the vandalism.

At the Rizal Park, you could see the bust of Daniel Hudson Burnham.

Hmmm....why does name of the  Park Burnham? And who is Daniel Hudson Burnham?

Burnham Park is an urban park located at the heart of Baguio City. It is named after Daniel Hudson Burnham, who is the American architect and urban planner who laid the plans of the city. It features a man-made lake situated at the center where you can enjoy boating. There is also a skating rink at the southern part of the park. The Melvin Jones Grand Stand and Football field is located at the eastern part of it. At the western part you could find the Children's park and the orchidarium. And if you are into biking, you could rent a bike.

You could also see group of Karate Kids there ^_^
If you are also into playing board game, don't worry they have it.

Here's Architect Daniel Hudson Burnham:

The following pictures are the things that we saw on this Park:

                                                                    the man-made lake

you could rent boats here, like these Swan boats
Chad playing around with the Swan boat

Addict in playing board games?

Posing as if they are really playing

I love the rich color of these flowers...

Or enjoy the flowers like him:

After eating or drinking, you will hear the call of nature ;)

We went here, the southern part of the park across the biking place

You have to pay 10 pesos to the Ate before entering. And she will give you these:
Ticket or a receipt and a tissue paper
And the cute part here is this: (Hehehe!)
                                                                here's where you will pee
Sorry if I find it funny and at the same time cute.
The space is just enough for one person and need to sit. The idea maybe for this is that there are person who don't want their a** kiss the lips of the toilet bowl.

So, enjoy the long walk when you come and visit Baguio City ;)
